Metzger Mini Tours #1 – Fred Metzger
Since the Metzger Collection is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be weekly video mini tours uploaded that trace through themes in the Metzger Collection. This first video highlights some of the background to the Metzger Collection, particularly, the person, Rev. Dr. Fred Metzger, and even highlights one of his artistic pieces – a portrait of Galileo.

This eighth video is the first in a 3-part series highlighting items from a past feature exhibit – Faces of Jesus. Part 1 explores portrayals of Jesus as he might have actually looked in history.
The video mentions resources on the Shroud of Turin. A fairly exhaustive site is https://www.shroud.com/, which is admittedly pro-shroud, but includes extensive links to anti-shroud sites and articles as well. Barrie Schwortz, who curates the page, also happens to be the source for our authentic replica.
